In May of 2016, twenty student activists traveled the route of the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline which would span 300 miles of Appalachia. For seven days, they met and spoke with community members who are being directly impacted by the pipeline. The road trip and subsequent film exist as a collaboration between the students, filmmakers, and community members affected by fracking in Appalachia.

Resistance in the Valley was made with the support of Chesapeake Climate Action Network. It screened at The Lyric Theatre in Downtown Blacksburg. In Fall 2017, Resistance in the Valley premiered at Boone Film Festival.
